Cherry Wood, A Great Option For Shaker Cabinet Doors

Cherry wood is a relatively hard hardwood with great wear resistance. Cherry is generally straight grained with a fairly uniform texture and a rich luster. Light to dark reddish brown heartwood and narrow, nearly white sapwood. Cherry takes stain very well and is regarded as one of the most highly prized cabinet woods in North America.

These Shaker doors are constructed using a frame and panel method. The solid wood door frame has a groove milled into the stiles and rails, where the center panel fits into. This is a time tested industry standard that ensures a long lasting product. Our standard panel option for this door is a 1/4” thick standard A1 veneer panel which provides an affordable easy to stain/finish combination. For those that want to upgrade to an all solid wood cabinet door we have our solid wood panel option. This is an ideal upgrade for a perfect color match between the solid wood frame and wood center panel.
