Looking to the Past In Shaker Design

In traditional Shaker furniture the raised panel was hidden on the back side of the door as it was used to “taper” the center panel to fit into the groove, only showing a flat face panel on the front of the door. As years progressed machine tools further refined the ability to create a uniform profile of the raised center panel. The raised panel itself became a thing of beauty and interest and has remained a classic door style. With this door style we aim to combine the best of a modern look of the Shaker door with the timeless classic raised panel.

Pre-Painted Raised Panel Door Material Options

We offer this style of painted door in several material options. One, is time tested MDF(Medium Density Fiberboard). This material provides and affordable substrate for our factory applied finish. For those who want to upgrade the second option is a Paint grade maple frame with MDF raised center panel. This upgrade combines the durability of a solid wood cabinet door frame with the economical center panel.

Raised Panel Profile Options

We offer several raised panel profiling options such as cove, straight and ogee. The straight panel profile being the one that is the most traditional. Each one will have a noticeable influence on the final look.
